Proper pre-care and aftercare are essential for achieving the best results, whether you’re booking lash extensions, permanent makeup, facial treatments, sugaring hair removal, or mini tattoos.
This page outlines simple guidelines to help you prepare for your appointment and care for your results afterward. Following these steps helps improve comfort, supports healing, and helps your results last longer. If you have questions at any time, our team is always here to help you choose the safest and most effective care based on your service and skin type.
Pre-Care
Before Your Appointment

No workouts for 3 days after your procedure
-
No alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours before your appointment
-
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 1 week after your procedure
-
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil, or Ibuprofen for 48 hours before
-
Avoid Fish Oil for 1 week before
-
Avoid prenatal vitamins and nutritional shakes for 48 hours before
-
Stop using Retin-A, chemical peels, laser peels, microdermabrasion, and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) for at least 3 weeks before
-
Also avoid using these products on/near the treated area after your procedure to prevent premature fading
-
Avoid Botox or filler in the treatment area for at least 4 weeks before
-
Avoid ginger, cinnamon, garlic, black pepper, and cayenne pepper for 48 hours before
-
No brow waxing, tinting, or threading for 1 week before your appointment
-
You may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle
Additional Pre-Care for Lips
-
Start moisturizing your lips every day for 1 week before your appointment
-
If you are prone to cold sores, begin taking over-the-counter medication or prescribed medication from your doctor as directed before your appointment
Additional Pre-Care for Eyeliner

Do not get eyelash extensions before your procedure
-
Do not wear contact lenses during your procedure
After-Care
EYEBROWS (Permanent Brows)
First 3 Days
-
Keep eyebrows dry for at least 3 days.
-
Apply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline 2 times per day (morning and night).
-
Apply before and after washing your face or showering.
-
If you must shower / wash your face
-
Use a Q-tip to apply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline on the brows.
-
Cover brows with plastic wrap (food wrap) to keep water out.
-
After you’re done:
-
Remove the wrap
-
Gently wipe the area
-
Reapply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline
-

What to Expect
-
Brows will look darker and thicker at first—this is normal.
-
Around 7–10 days, the top layer may scab and shed in small sections.
-
The color will soften and look more natural as it heals.
-
Full healing usually takes about 2 weeks.
Important
-
DO NOT pick, peel, or scrub the area while healing. This can cause scarring and uneven results.
-
Limit heavy exercise and avoid direct sunlight during healing.
Avoid for 7–10 Days (until fully healed)

Sauna / Jacuzzi

Swimming (chlorine pools or natural bodies of water)

EYELINER (Permanent Eyeliner)
First Day
-
If needed, apply an ice pack for 15 minutes after your procedure to reduce swelling.
First 3 Days
-
Apply CURAD or Vaseline 2 times per day (morning and night).
-
Try to keep the area dry for 3 days.
Healing Timeline
-
Scabbing may occur and usually peels off in about 7–10 days.
-
Do not pick at any scabs.
LIPS (Lip Blushing / Permanent Lip Color)
First Day
-
If needed, apply an ice pack for 15 minutes after your procedure to reduce swelling.
First 3 Days
-
Apply CURAD or Vaseline 2 times per day (morning and night).
-
Apply before and after brushing your teeth or washing your face.
-

Before showering or washing:
-
Use a Q-tip to apply CURAD/Vaseline to protect the lips from water.

After washing:
-
Gently wipe lips
-
Reapply a thin layer of ointment
-
Keep Lips Clean (Important)
-
After eating, quickly rinse/wipe lips gently to avoid bacteria from food.
-
Reapply CURAD or Vaseline after cleaning.
Healing Timeline
-
Lips may feel very dry.
-
Peeling may start after about 3 days and usually finishes within 1 week.
-
DO NOT peel or pick the skin.
Avoid for 2 Weeks

Hot/spicy foods

Soy sauce
Color Expectations
-
Lip color can fade 40–60% after the initial procedure.
-
The color may slowly deepen again over the next few weeks, with final results settling around 1 month.
Policies
You may NOT receive a PMU service if you have any of the following conditions

Under 18 years of age

Diabetes
-
Pregnant or lactating women
-
Glaucoma
-
Skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the area that is to be treated, easily form keloids

Allergies to makeup
-
Easily triggered post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis
-
Active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed

Hemophiliac
-
Healing disorder
-
Blood thinners
-
Uncontrolled high blood pressure or mitral valve disorder

Accutane or steroids
-
Active shingles
-
Sunburn
-
Anemia or other abnormal bleeding conditions

Autoimmune disease
In prior to the appointment, it is your responsibility to: Let me know if you have/had allergic reactions to topical anesthetics.

Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule, a 3-day advanced notice is required.
Corrections / Previous Work
If you have had any previous work done, please send me a picture of the area without any makeup, in good lighting, with no filter, from the front and sides to see if you’ll need a correction.
Touch Up
SEMI- Permanent makeup is a 2-step process.
Touch ups are recommended after 4-6 weeks.
